I've been coding for a while (before it was the "cool" thing to do) and even helped build one of the first radio scanners back in *gulp* the 80s. I love employing the latest technology to bring about social good, and while I'm not as experienced in rescue as our clients, I've talked to a lot of them and like to think I know how to build darn good software for them!

Legally an only child, I like to think I was one of 6, having grown up with 2 rescued miniature dachshunds and 3 rescued cats. At Sparkie I do everything non-technical, from speaking with our clients, to getting new ones, to working with our interns on awesome blog content. I also scoop poop.

I have been in animal rescue since I was 6 years old, starting with nursing baby squirrels back to health after they lost their mother. As an adult, I rescue, foster, help with disaster relief, pet sit and do behavior modification for all sorts of animals. Here at Sparkie I get to share my passion with rescuers and try to help make their lives easier. With 4 to 14 dogs in my house on any given day, making things easier is a daily goal!
